Biotope Mapping

Biotope mapping is regarded as a reliable indicator for the ecological value of an area and represents a base for further assessments.

In the context of environmental impacts studies and development mitigation planning, we carry out biotope mappings and special samplings.

The mapping and assessment method follows the approach of the concerned federal state and takes into account state-specific protection regulations. For our fieldwork we use modern mapping analysers and GPS equipments, which enable us to represent and evaluate the obtained information through a geographical information system, for example for a tree or land register. The results are processed via ArcGIS or AutoCAD.
