Furthermore OECOS GmbH accomplishes biotope mapping and bird observation in the context of the environmental impact studies. Further special surveys are conducted by sub-orders to external experts.
Expert report for the habitat-impact assessment according to article 6 (3) Habitat directive e.g. par. 34 Federal nature conservation enactment (BNatSchG). Although the central free port is outside sanctuaries of the European Net Natura 2000, the sanctuaries and the further sections of the Middle and Upper Elbe are in exchange relations by the tidal-current, e.g. as a pathway of aquatic organisms from the North Sea to her spawn areas in the Middle Elbe and her tributaries.
