Environmental impact assessment for the demonstration wind farm “GEOFReE“
GEO mbH (Society for Energy and Ecology) plans the erection of an offshore wind power demonstration field consisting of 5 wind energy converters with a total performance of approximately 25 MW, in the southern part of the SKY 2000 site. The demonstration field is an element of the land use planning procedure which was completed positively at the end of 2003 for the wind farm SKY 2000 in the Mecklenburg Bay. GEO mbH intends to demonstrate newly developed 5 MW wind energy converters under offshore circumstances. OECOS GmbH was consulted by GEO mbH in order to coordinate the environmental impact assessment and summarise the individual examinations in a general report.
