Environmental Impact Assessments for offshore wind warm projects

OECOS Ltd. has almost 20 years of professional experience in offshore wind farm site investigations as well as Environmental Impact Studies and Assessments. The clients for these assignments include: GEO mbH, E.ON, Airtricity GmbH, PMSS, Windreich AG, WKU AG, Seawind GmbH, 50 Hertz Transmission GmbH, and IMS GmbH. Furthermore, OECOS Ltd. has worked on the development of offshore wind energy use in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of the German North and Baltic Sea as well as in the coastal waters of Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania on behalf of the German Federal Environmental Agency.

• Ecological construction supervision, mitigation costs analysis and special species conservation permits for the offshore wind warm Baltic 2

• Mappings & expert opinions, FFH-compatibility studies, environmental impact assessments and species conservation assessments for the offshore wind farm Arkonabecken Südost in the Baltic Sea with 80 wind turbines.

• Expert opinions, FFH-compatibility studies, environmental impact assessments and species conservation assessments for the offshore wind farm Sky 2000 in the Baltic Sea coastal waters of Schleswig-Holstein.

• Visualization of wind turbines and visual landscape assessments for the offshore wind park Kriegersflack (Baltic 2) in the EEZ of the Baltic Sea.

• Visualization of wind turbines and visual landscape assessments for the offshore wind park Baltic 1 in the Baltic Sea coastal waters of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania (regional planning procedure and approval procedure).

• Environmental Impact Assessments and compilations of environmental documents for the offshore wind farm DanTysk and Nördlicher Grund in the North Sea

• Mappings & expert opinions, FFH-compatibility studies, environmental impact assessments and species conservation assessments for the 80 wind turbine strong offshore wind farm Baltic Eagle in the Baltic Sea.

• Mappings & expert opinions, FFH-compatibility studies, environmental impact assessments and species conservation assessments for the offshore wind farms Ostseeschatz and Ostseeperle in the Baltic Sea.

• Site investigation and preliminary study for an offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea; site investigation for an offshore wind farm in the North Sea.

• Revision of the development mitigation plan, species conservation assessment and the FFH-compatibility study on the GEOFReE wind farm, including the electric power line in the Baltic Sea.

• Prediction of the offshore wind energy expansion in the German Baltic Sea.

• An over several years extended evaluation of the feasibility of offshore wind farm projects in the German Baltic Sea as part of the 50 Hertz-Transmission Ltd. offshore consultancy pool

• Participation in the research and development project ‘Netzintegration von Offshore-Großwindanlagen “Grundlast von der Nordsee”’ (Grid integration of large scale offshore wind farms “basic load of the North Sea”) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conversation and Nuclear Safety.

• Participation in the project ‘Strategische Umweltprüfung und Strategisches Umweltmonitoring für Offshore-Windparks in der AWZ‘ (strategic environmental impact assessment and environmental impact monitoring for offshore wind farms in the exclusive economic zone) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, on behalf of the Leuphana University Lüneburg.
