Environmental Impact Assessment for the Demonstration Wind Farm “GEOFReE”

GEO mbH (Society for Energy and Ecology) plans the erection of an offshore wind power demonstration field consisting of five wind energy converters with a total output of approximately 25 MW, in the southern part of the SKY 2000 site. The demonstration field is an element of the land use planning procedure which was completed successfully for the wind farm SKY 2000 in the Mecklenburg Bay. GEO mbH intends to demonstrate newly developed 5 MW wind energy converters in offshore conditions. OECOS GmbH was consulted by GEO mbH in order to coordinate the environmental impact assessment and summarise the individual examinations in a general report.
