Study on Nature Conservation Requirements in Regional Planning

As part of the R&D project “Nature conservation and nature protection requirements within the regional planning regime in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)”, OECOS GmbH was part of an interdisciplinary team working on issues of nature conservation and nature protection requirements in the EEZ. Within the project, foundations were laid to integrate nature conservation into the process of spatial planning in the EEZ. In addition, recommendations were given on how to incorporate nature conservation objectives into the preparation process for regional planning in the EEZ. A focus was set on the concerns of marine protection in the constellation process.
